Originally from Marblehead, MA, Dr. Erwin discovered her affinity for all things equine at the age of nine, when she took her first riding lesson. She competed as a hunter / jumper and equitation rider, and also spent several years on the ground, working with horses as a show groom. She graduated from Duke University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She gradu­ated from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2006. Following graduation from veterin­ary school, she completed an internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in Ringoes, NJ. In July, 2007, Dr. Erwin came to Millbrook Equine. Her professional interests include sports medicine, diag­nostic imaging, rehabilit­ation, dentistry, and ophthalm­ology. In 2011, Dr. Erwin became a partner in Millbrook Equine. Outside of work, she is devoted to her family. All of the Erwins (adults, kids, and dog), enjoy playing outside, swimming, and going for walks. She spent her springs helping to foal out mares and her summers cleaning stalls and grooming yearlings. When she graduated from high school, she headed east to Smith College, where she obtained a BA with a major in Neuroscience. After four years on the east coast, Dr. Gosselin returned to Washington to attend Wash­ington State University College of Veteri­nary Medicine. Focusing on equine medicine and surgery, Dr. Gosselin received the award of "Senior Student Most Proficient in Large Animal Surgery." Since 2006, she has completed the internship program at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital, opened a successful solo equine ambulatory practice in Texas, and acted as a regulatory veterinarian at Lone Star Park. Dr. Gosselin joined Millbrook Equine and moved to New York in February of 2011. While Dr. Gosselin is happy simply working with horses, her passion lies in equine reproduction and neonat­ology. She also advanced through the Pony Club ranks, ultimately achieving her ‘B’ rating. Dr. LaPrade headed east for college, graduating from Yale University in 1993 with a BA in biology. She followed that with a 1997 graduation with Phi Zeta honors from the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Since graduation she has opened and sold two successful solo ambulatory equine practices, in Oakland, CA and Des Moines, IA. Dr. LaPrade lives in Connecticut with her husband and two dogs. She has four children scattered throughout New England. She competes her Hanoverian Caspar in the amateur jumpers.
