A native New Yorker, Pony Club graduate and lifelong horsewoman, Dr. Schilpp received her DVM from Ross University, and completed her clinical training at Cornell University, from which she also received her B.S.. Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Schilpp received her LVT from Mercy College, after which she worked as both a small and large animal technician.

Following her graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Schilpp completed an internship at New England Equine Practice, where she spent the next fourteen years of her career. She subsequently worked at Belmont, Aqueduct, and Saratoga for the New York Racing Association. Dr. Schilpp's exceptional experience ranges from managing a large, in-patient emergency hospital, to participating in countless surgeries, to elite performance medicine, to the management of intricate internal medicine cases and complicated surgical recoveries, to the evaluation of countless young Thoroughbreds. Dr. Schilpp is equally dedicated to beloved backyard equines of all sorts and has a particular affinity for miniature donkeys.

In her spare time, Dr. Schilpp enjoys CrossFit, her two German Shepherds, her horse Melvin, and a dry joke.
