Equine Veterinary Assistant/Technician
Millbrook Equine, a well-established ambulatory equine veterinary practice located in the beautiful Hudson Valley, is seeking an organized, cheerful, and experienced Equine Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team on a part-time weekend basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and is looking for an opportunity to contribute to a growing and thriving practice.
Working closely with Dr. Miranda Gosselin and the rest of our equine care team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting patient care and daily operations.
Responsibilities include assisting with patient restraint, supporting veterinary procedures, overseeing in-house lab work, and helping maintain organization within the practice. In addition to hands-on clinical work, this position also involves a meaningful amount of administrative support, making strong attention to detail and organizational skills essential.
We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who is committed to providing excellent patient care and outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate is comfortable multitasking, able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and willing to learn and utilize HVMS software. Basic horse handling skills and equine knowledge are required, and previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
Credentialed veterinary technicians are encouraged to apply.
This is a part-time position primarily covering Saturdays and Sundays, with hours coordinated in collaboration with Dr. Gosselin. Occasional flexibility may be requested based on caseload. Millbrook Equine offers a competitive wage commensurate with experience and prides itself on maintaining a supportive, family-oriented team environment. We are especially interested in candidates who will be a strong cultural fit within our practice.
Applicants should submit a resume along with a cover letter outlining their horse experience and explaining why they would be a great fit for this role to erika@millbrookequine.com.
